Description
It is the largest CHP plant in the world, running on methane-air mixture, retrievable from the active coal mine. This mixture, endangering for the coal mine work safety and polluting the environment, now became an energy source, providing the electrical and thermal power to the coal mine and consumers nearby with the help of 24 x GE Jenbacher modules.

Description
Two Jenbacher modules are operating in parallel with the grid at this plant. The produced thermal power is used for the processing needs of the plant and also for the heating of the residential area which is nearby. The electrical power covers all plant’s needs, in case of excess it is exported through electrical networks to other enterprises of the region.

Description
Not the first site in Ukraine where GE Jenbacher equipment is used for coal mine methane utilization. After the CHP plant commissioning the working conditions of the coal mine staff extremely improved and also there is the possibility to produce own electrical and thermal power. One more advantage of such equipment start-up at coal mines is the possibility to get the profit of emissions trading under the conditions of “Kyoto Protocol”.

Description
The produced electrical power covers the Coca-Cola plant’s needs; the heat is used in production process. But such kind of enterprises also need the food carbon dioxide (СО2), which can be produced with the help of the GE Jenbacher cogeneration units without any additional costs.
