Cogeneration gas power plants 2G

Cogeneration gas power plant (CHPP) or mini CHP is a system for the production of electrical and thermal energy from fuel energy (hydrogen, liquefied or main natural gas, biogas, associated petroleum gas, landfill gas, etc.).

The latest production technology in Germany

More than 7,500 efficient 2G gas engines operate reliably around the world.

As a technology leader in the sector, we never rest on our laurels. The development team of our own research and development company 2G Drives is constantly working on the further development of our gas piston engine.

In the power range from 20 to 2500 kW, we have been able to significantly increase the efficiency of the generator set with the upgraded chamber geometry. For the consumer, a higher level of efficiency has significant benefits:

  • Low gas consumption
  • Low fuel costs
  • Low electricity price and free heat

Take advantage of 2G gas-fired cogeneration power plants:

  • Efficient operation and long service life thanks to the excellent quality of the gas engine
  • High reliability even with frequent starts and stops
  • Flexibility of installation options according to requirements and in accordance with the conditions of organization of space and noise protection
  • Thanks to modern control technology, the output power of the generator set is steplessly adjustable from 50 to 100%
  • Suitable for integration into virtual power plants and participation in the power balancing market

2G Containers

2G gas-fired cogeneration power plants are installed in a variety of ways, depending on local conditions and sound insulation requirements. The method of placement inside a special container provides for elements of sound insulation and ventilation in the design, or they are mounted in an open form, on a frame with a generator and a foundation permanently, in a prefabricated building. With the appropriate sound insulation package, the noise level can be as low as 35 dB(A) at a distance of 10 m.

2G containerized gas gensets mean a high degree of availability and minimal maintenance costs.

All 2G containers are professionally designed, engineered and manufactured specifically for cogeneration gas units and are plug and play solutions.

  • Walls, ceilings and doors insulated
  • 2G version, see relevant sample drawings and technical documentation
  • The doors are equipped with anti-panic handles, which allow you to quickly leave the container if necessary.
  • Supply and exhaust ventilation is optimally located to ensure the required level of air exchange
  • Floor design prevents spillage of operating fluids outside the container
  • The container has lugs to facilitate its transportation and installation on site
  • Due to the multi-layer coloring, the container has a high corrosion resistance.
  • The design of the container is made taking into account wind and snow loads.
